Description of Gland and Gland Assembly (Split Gland)
- Pump gland of the shaft seal arrangement - conventional packaged gland,low flow packaged gland and the waterless centrifugal seal.
- Gland made of versatile metals - C02 - ductile iron for light chemical duties in low concentrations of solids or C23 - stainless steel - offers good resistance to reducing checmicals, or K24 - a copper alloy (sand casting), which offers good shock resistance, good strength and machinability. It also exhibits good corrosion resistance.
